Hat Yai District plays a significant role as a center of trade, economy, and investment for large-scale businesses in the lower southern region of Thailand. In addition, it is a city with strong potential to support tourism, welcoming both domestic and international visitors, ranking fourth in the southern region in terms of tourist numbers.
Therefore, the Songkhla Provincial Administrative Organization has set a goal to implement the construction of a city observation tower and a skywalk-style viewing platform. The project aims to create a new landmark that will attract more tourists to Hat Yai District, helping to increase tourism revenue in the area.

Objectives of the project
1. To develop a conceptual design for a city observation tower and skywalk that supports sustainable tourism in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, to be used for project approval and for determining the budget of the future construction of the city observation tower and skywalk.
2. To conduct a study and design of infrastructure to support sustainable tourism in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province.
3. To study and analyze the environmental impacts within the project area.

Accessibility to Tourist Attractions: Convenient and Modern Accessibility
Tourist Attractions: A festival city with major shopping areas and key commercial centers.


Project surrounding environment.
"The project is situated in the heart of Hat Yai’s commercial district, surrounded by major markets including Plaza 2 Market, Railway Market, Rattakan Fruit Market Complex, and Kim Yong Market. It fronts Phet Kasem Road, the city’s primary artery, and is located within a 900-meter radius of Hat Yai Railway Station. The surrounding area predominantly consists of shophouses with ground-floor retail and upper-floor residences, complemented by various street stalls and vendors. The front plaza serves as a transportation hub for passenger vans, airport buses, and motorcycle taxis."

Design Concept
“Flourishing Bougainvillea, Prosperous Songkhla City.”
The bougainvillea flower has three petals, symbolizing blossoming, joy, brightness, and far-reaching prosperity in life. The design is inspired by the bougainvillea, the provincial flower of Songkhla, known for its graceful blooming petals and its resilience to diverse weather conditions.
